Bahnhof, Wolfstein
Hiking station in Wolfstein.
Wolfstein is the seventh train stop in the Palatinate to be awarded the title "Wanderbahnhof". The Wolfstein train stop is a through station along the Lautertalbahn Kaiserslautern-Lauterecken-Grumbach and can be reached by regional train every hour in the Rhineland-Palatinate.
This means that nothing stands in the way of a relaxed hike on the Maikurweg. The circular hiking trail leads from Wolfstein through the beautiful Palatinate Mountains - to the two castles of the town as well as through the picturesque "Königswald".
In addition to the Maikurweg, you can also start from the Wolfstein train station on the award-winning hiking trail "Pfälzer Höhenweg" or explore the "Veldenz Wanderweg" - an award-winning hiking trail with the Leading Quality Trail certificate.
