A classic in the High Black Forest. The premium hiking trail "Feldberg-Steig" is a circular route at Feldberg.
The Feldbergsteig leads on paths with many viewpoints through one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Germany with sub-alpine character. Along the way, several huts invite you to stop for refreshments.
At the Haus der Natur at the starting point, the Feldbergsteig is presented in detail, for example in a 3D slideshow.
From here it leads steeply up to the Seebuck, then continues on a panoramic trail to the Feldberg summit. In suitable weather, the view extends to the Alps and Vosges. The descent passes the St. Wilhelmer Hut, the Zastler Hut, and the Baldenweger Hut. The Steig runs on narrow, adventurous paths up to the Raimartihof. A particularly natural experience is the following Feldsee below the steeply rising rock walls of the Feldberg massif. Through a protected forest, you return to the starting point.

Roadbook
The traditional hiking route leads from the Haus der Natur (Feldberg) initially in a steep ascent to the Bismarck Monument (1,450 m) on the Seebuck - alternatively easily accessible by the Feldbergbahn (cable car). Here you get a stunning panoramic view of the Black Forest, the Alps and the Vosges. Especially impressive is the view of the steeply located Feldsee below. Those who wish can visit the nearby Feldberg Tower (viewing platform). On the ridge, the path continues through the Grüblesattel to the Feldberg summit (1,493 m). The next destination is the St. Wilhelmer Hut, the highest mountain hut in the Black Forest. A romantic path leads to the Zastler Hut; then a short ascent to the Baldenweger Hut (great vantage point). Then the actual "Steig" begins: over narrow paths and small suspension bridges it continues through the Seewald to one of the oldest farms in the High Black Forest, the Raimartihof. From there it is not far to the idyllically located Feldsee (karst lake 1,116 m). The Karl-Egon path leads uphill through a protected forest area back to the starting point.
