The traditional Sommeralm Baldenweger Hut is located at 1321 metres on the northern slope of the Feldberg. Traditional food and drinks are served in the rustic Black Forest parlour. Only cash payment is possible.
The Baldenweger Hut can only be reached on foot via Hinterzarten from the Alpersbach / Rinken district or from the Feldberg, as it is located in the middle of a nature reserve. The hut offers hungry hikers traditional Black Forest dishes such as soups, farmhouse sausages with bread and coffee with cake. Cheese fondue is also on offer (only if ordered in advance). Only cash payment is possible in the Baldenweger Hütte. No overnight accommodation. No public WLAN available.
Moderate to no mobile phone reception.
In winter, the way back from the Baldenweger Hütte to the Rinken can also be used as a rapid descent on a sledge (you must bring your own sledge).
