We deliberately did this hike in spring; the last snowfields and avalanche remnants were not an obstacle. In return, we were able to observe common toads and alpine newts during their mating activities. Some chamois with their young and deer/or roe deer were our companions, and one or the other marmot stretched out in the warm sun.

From the bus stop, we went steeply up through the forest toward Schwizerhüsli. However, we stayed on the hiking trail that passes below Schwizerhüsli and continues through beautiful forests into the valley. Eventually, you reach the normal road again. After a short distance, the beautiful, flatter valley with its meandering streams, waterfalls, and impressive rock backdrop appears. We walked as far as the Garneraalpe. On the way back, we followed the road past Ganeumaisäß and back to Gaschurn.
