Our hike begins at the Feldbergerhof bus stop. Before we start, it’s worth making a quick detour to the Haus der Natur. It provides information about the nature and landscape of the Feldberg.

Passing the Seebuckhütte, we then follow the rocky path uphill along the edge of the forest and continue along the narrow rocky trail above Feldsee through lush vegetation until we reach the Westweg. On the Feldbergsteig, we pass the Sägenbach Waterfall on our way to the Baldenweger Hütte and, after passing the Naturfreundehaus, reach the Zastler Hütte. We then circle around the Feldberg and arrive at the St. Wilhelmer Hütte. Still on the ascent to the summit of the Feldberg—the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg—we descend to the Todtnauer Hut. We then return to our starting point at the Feldbergerhof via a long, gravel path offering spectacular views.

    Author’s recommendation

Thanks to the abundance of forests and the high elevation, this tour is also recommended on summer days—though it’s better to take it in the opposite direction then.
