High up on the Feldberg, amidst the stunning natural beauty of the Black Forest Highlands, lies the Todtnauer Hütte – a place to unwind, take a deep breath and enjoy yourself. Whether as the destination of a hike, a starting point for mountain adventures or a cosy retreat with overnight accommodation: here you’ll find stunning views, warm hospitality and the authentic atmosphere of the Black Forest mountains.
Fresh mountain air and the beauty of the Black Forest
This cosy, fully-serviced mountain hut is situated right next to popular hiking trails and, in winter, directly alongside the cross-country ski trail. It is the ideal starting point for numerous tours around the Feldberg. It’s only about one kilometre from here to the summit – the perfect stop-off for a bite to eat or a relaxing break with panoramic views
Stunning views from the sun terrace
A real highlight is the spacious sun terrace. From here, the view sweeps across the rolling hills of the Black Forest, to the Feldberg Tower and, on a clear day, even as far as the Alps.
If you’d like to savour the special atmosphere of the mountains for longer, you can also stay overnight right at the Todtnauer Hütte. That way, you can experience sunrises and sunsets surrounded by nature and set off on your next hike feeling refreshed.
Not accessible by car in winter
Please note that the Todtnauer Hütte is not accessible by car in winter. The access route is used during the winter months by walkers, families, sledge riders and winter sports enthusiasts, and is not intended for vehicle traffic. Furthermore, snow and weather conditions can quickly render the route impassable. We therefore ask all guests to visit the hut in winter exclusively on foot, by sledge or on skis.
