A hiking route across one of the most beautiful valleys of the Low Tatras, the Vajskovská valley, will lead you to its sparkling natural jewel – the Vajskovský waterfall. The location is not among the "tourist crowds," so you can expect peace, silence, and magical beauty here.
The Vajskovský waterfall roars at the very end of the valley, from where the trail does not continue due to protection reasons.
The water powerfully falls from a height of 9 meters down a wild rock face at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level. The Vajskovský waterfall is fairly well hidden within rich vegetation. It is perennial but naturally reaches its greatest strength after rains and when snow melts from the surrounding peaks.
A 9 km long asphalt road runs along the entire valley, making the hike rather a pleasant walk, especially if you simplify the journey by cycling. The trail is open all year round, so you can admire the beauties of the waterfall in the form of an ice kingdom even in winter.
Besides hiking, Vajskovská valley is also suitable for cycling tourism, and you can comfortably reach the Pàlenica area by bike, from where a roughly 2 km long hiking trail leads to the waterfall. A hiking trail marked with a green sign leads to the waterfall from Dolná Lehota.
