Zwischen der Rheinebene auf der einen und der Schwarzwaldhochstraße auf der anderen Seite befindet sich das Renchtal mit seinen Orten Oberkirch, Lautenbach und Oppenau. Das Rench- und Durbachtal bieten eine Menge an Tradition, geschichtsträchtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Kultur: Die Burgruine Schauenburg , die Wallfahrtskirche „Mariä Krönung“ , die Klosterruine Allerheiligen mit den Wasserfällen, das Schloss Staufenberg sowie die historischen Altstadtkerne von Oberkirch und Oppenau zeugen von einer lebendigen Geschichte. Auch das Kulturangebot lässt keine Wünsche offen: Theater, Konzerte und Kabaretts, Events, Wein- und Volksfeste aller Art, Kunst und berühmte Schriftsteller sorgen dafür, dass Ihr Urlaub auch kulturell gesehen ein Erlebnis wird.

Radfreunde erfreuen sich an über 500 Kilometern Mountainbikewegen oder an genussvollen und entspannten (E-Bike)-Touren entlang der Rench oder in die malerischen Gemeinden und Städtchen der Ortenau bis hin zur vorgelagerten Rheinebene.

Bundesweit ausgezeichnete Weine von den hier heimischen Top-Winzern Deutschlands sowie Edelbrände, Liköre und Wässerchen von mehr als 2000 Schnapsbrennereien gelten als Spitzenprodukte der Region. Auch frische Produkte wie z. B. Erdbeeren und Kirschen direkt von den Erzeugern, zum Teil auch vermarktet von einem der größten Obstmärkte Deutschlands, dem Obstgroßmarkt Oberkirch, überzeugen durch ihre Qualität.
