This hike follows the Rench dam downstream to the Schlüsselbrücke. Then continue through the Oberkirch orchards towards Stadelhofen. Shortly before Stadelhofen, the path turns towards Tiergarten and leads back to Oberkirch. This route through the core and berry orchards of the Oberkirch fruit farmers is especially recommended during blossom and harvest times, even though it mainly follows agricultural paths (paved).

The route starts at the train station in Oberkirch. From the station, head to the customs office. After crossing the tracks, hike to the St. Wendelinus Bridge. From the St. Wendelinus Bridge, the route turns right. Along the Rench dam and the "Blue Rhombus," continue to the Schlüsselbrücke. At the Schlüsselbrücke, cross the street and walk 20m to the right along the street until a path veers left. From here, always follow the "Yellow Rhombus" through the orchards to the next hiking station shortly before Stadelhofen, Schwarzhof. At Schwarzhof, orient yourself to the right towards the Tiergarten Church, walking straight ahead and crossing two country roads.
Arriving at the church of Tiergarten, turn left into the vineyards towards the foundations of the Ullenburg ruins. Here you follow the yellow rhombus and thus reach a great viewpoint with a wonderful view of Oberkirch. On the left uphill is the Fatima Chapel.
Walk downhill through the vineyards towards Oberkirch to the hiking station Holzacker. From here, following the Ortenau wine trail back to Oberkirch train station via the Leimenbrunnen and the Oberkirch pedestrian zone.
Fruit cultivation in the Renchtal: The Renchtal is one of the most traditional and well-known fruit-growing regions in Europe. Sandy loam to deep loess soils enable farmers to produce fruit of the highest quality. One of the largest fruit wholesale markets in Germany is also located in Oberkirch: the Obstgroßmarkt Mittelbaden eG. Key products include strawberries, raspberries, red and black currants, gooseberries, and apples.
