The descent and return route go through open terrain, only sporadically used by banana plantations. Their large-area foil coverings create an almost futuristic image. Occasionally, you find fig and mango trees at their edges, and near the coast, also the typical Canary Islands spurge (Euphorbia canariensis).

Roadbook
For the return, go back up the stairs to the parking lot and then follow the road uphill. Shortly after the first right curve, a marked hiking trail branches to the left ("Puntagorda"). The path soon reaches the road again and continues immediately behind it to the left behind an embankment uphill. On the old stone path, it climbs higher in switchbacks until it reaches the road again and follows it left over several curves, gently uphill. At a left bend, a sign "Puntagorda" points right (yellow markings), and you return uphill on a stone path to the cemetery and thus back to the starting point.
