Porís de Candelaria round trip from/to Tijarafe
The descent to Porís de Candelaria runs in the lower part along an old, very nicely laid out camino, as does the crossing of the Barranco de Jorado, first close to the coast and later again high up between El Jesus and Tijarafe.
The middle sections of the tour are long slopes and flanks between mountains and sea, partly used for agriculture. Here you alternate between old stone and dirt paths, concrete tracks, and sometimes side roads.

Roadbook
From Porís de Candelaria, take the paved path back to the parking lot, then go up several hairpin bends on the narrow road until you reach a ridge with a viewing platform. Here follow a sign "El Jesus" and turn onto a stone path at the southern lower end of the platform, which leads steeply down in tight switchbacks into the Barranco de Jorado. In the valley floor, pass some huts, then ascend on the other side in numerous switchbacks again to the "Mirador del Barranco de Jorado".
At the viewpoint, follow a sign "El Jesus" and go left a short way uphill on a concrete track, then shortly turn left onto a footpath (sign "El Jesus"). The path climbs gently in a straight line to a concrete track and continues along it to a side road, which you follow left ("El Jesus/Tijarafe"). At a following T-junction, turn right and soon leave the now somewhat wider road after the first bend again to the left onto a stone path (sign "El Jesus/Tijarafe"). The stone path crosses a street and continues uphill on the other side. Further up, the path turns into a concrete track and reaches a signposted fork. Here turn left ("Tijarafe") and descend into the Barranco de Jorado (red marked), where after crossing you reach the creek bed. Follow it a little way uphill to the right (cairns), until a red-marked stone path leads out to the left. This path immediately turns 180 degrees left and then climbs in a long switchback up to the main road. Follow the road to the left until just after the first curve the "Camino la Quinta" forks right uphill. Passing a marked junction, continue straight on Camino la Quinta and reach a bend with the first houses of Tijarafe. At a T-junction, turn left and so reach the church "de la Nostra Señora de Candelaria". From the church square, go right to the main road and follow it back to the starting point.
