Itt találjuk a Gaja által táplált Pisztrángos-tavat (másik nevén Erdei-tavat), amely a Gaja-völgyi Tájcentrum központja. A tavat egyik oldalról tágas rét, a másikról zárt erdő szegélyezi.
A réten nagyméretű esőbeállókat, a tóparti fák árnyékában padokat, asztalokat, tűzrakó helyeket találunk – nem is csoda, hogy a festői környezet hétvégente rengeteg piknikezőt vonz ide. Feljebb, a murvás út mentén áll a tájcentrum fogadóépülete, ahol büfét, vízvételi lehetőséget, mosdókat és a közelben játszóteret is találnak a kirándulók. (A büfé nyitvatartása szezonális.)
Ha dél felől, a parkolóból közelítjük meg a Pisztrángos-tavat, tekinthetjük a Gaja-szurdok bejáratának, illetve kiindulópontnak is, ahonnan érdemes egy könnyű kirándulással felfedezni a patakvölgyet.

- Ha busszal érkezünk, a helyközi járatokról a Bodajk, Ifjúsági tábor megállónál szálljunk le (ez a Bodajkhoz tartozó Balinkán található).

- A bodajki buszmegállótól a K◼ jelzés vezet el a Gaja-völgy felső bejáratához. Innen kövessük az Országos Kéktúra K jelzését, majd az Ádám-Éva-fánál menjünk át a hídon, és váltsunk a K+ jelzésre, ami a tóhoz irányít (2,6 km, 26 m szintemelkedés).
- A parkolóból a K+ jelzést kell követni, és egy kellemes, rövid sétával juthatunk a tóhoz (700 m).
Parking
- Autóval a Gaja-völgyi Tájcentrum parkolóját célozzuk meg (ez Fehérvárcsurgó felől közelíthető meg).
