Papírgyár egy háromvágányos elágazó állomás, itt válik el egymástól a LÁEV garadnai és mahócai vonala – utóbbin csak különleges alkalmakkor van forgalom.
A közeli papírgyár 1782 óta működik, ma az ország egyetlen bankjegy- és biztonságipapír-gyártó vállalata. A gyárban papíripari múzeum is működik, ahol a különböző gépek, munkaeszközök, eredeti dokumentumok mellett egy korhű berendezéssel felszerelt, 18. századi mintára berendezett papírmerítő műhely is megtekinthető.
A Papírgyár feltételes megállóhely, azaz a vonatok csak akkor állnak itt meg, ha van le- vagy felszálló utas.

- Az 1, 5, 15, 53, ZOO jelzésű helyi autóbuszjáratokról Majális park megállóhelyen célszerű leszállni.

- A Majális parki buszforduló sarkában, ahol a P és Z jelzések betérnek az erdőbe, indulj el a Szinva hídja felé, kelj át a hídon, majd fordulj rögtön balra; az ösvény a kisvasút állomásához vezet (kb. 400 méter séta).
Parking
- A Majális parki parkolóban lehet megállni, a Lillafüredre vezető út mellett.
