Jäätiölampi lean-to shelter, Vuokatti Finland
Jäätiönlampi lean-to in Vuokatti is a popular resting place located next to a small meadow, surrounded by water. The view opens south and west to Lake Nuasjärvi.
The lean-to serves hikers and Nordic walkers in the summer. In winter it is a destination for many skiers or snowshoeers. Due to relatively easy access and short distance from Katinkulta and K-supermarket, this is a great destination for the whole family. In the summer it is possible to access the site with a pram / baby buggy via the paved road.

Bus stop for the buses operating between Kajaani and Sotkamo, lies at the foot of Vuokatti ski slopes. From the bus stop, follow signs Lampipolku 6 km, marked with purple. Distance to lean-to is some 500 meters along the trail.

From Holiday club Katinkulta: The Jäätönlampi lean-to is approx. 2 km from Katinkulta main entrance. Take the Jäätiö fitness trail 2 km. Lampipolku 6 km tour branches off the trail, follow signs and purple markings.
From K-supermarket Vuokatti: 700 meters from the supermarket via paved roads. Go aross Kuikkalammentie towards Suvikkaantie. Take the first right to Vuokatinrannantie, walk 200 meters. Just before the Raamattuopisto holiday rentals turn right to a path that will take you to the lean-to, distance is 150 meters.

Saapuminen ja pysäköinti
Taukopaikalle ei ole merkitty virallista pysäköintialuetta, mutta liikkumisesteisen pysäköintitunnuksen omaava voi pysäköidä auton lähimmillään Vuokatinrannantien varteen osoitteessa Vuokatinrannantie 6. Kadunvarsi toimii pysäkkinä myös saattoliikenteelle. Tien vierestä on taukopaikalle matkaa noin 150 metriä ja taukopaikka on helposti havaittavissa. Kesäisin kulkureitti taukopaikalle on asfaltoitu kevyenliikenteen väylä. Talvisin kulkureitti taukopaikalle on tasainen monikäyttöura ja leveydeltään yli 2 metriä, mutta ei erikseen opastettu. Monikäyttöuran vieressä kulkee myös yli 2 metriä leveä hiihtolatu. Monikäyttöura on valaistu ja valoa heijastuu myös taukopaikalle. Kesäisin kulku-ura on taukopaikan kanssa eri tasossa ja taukopaikalle siirtyminen on purupintainen. Talvella kulku-ura on taukopaikan kanssa samassa tasossa
Taukopaikan esteettömyyskuvaus
Taukopaikkaa ei ole rakennettu esteettömäksi, mutta soveltuu esteettömäksi istuinkehän ja nuotiokehän osalta. Nuotiokehä sijaitsee maantasolla. Taukopaikan ympäristö on tasainen kivituhkapinta. Taukopaikan puuvarastoon on porrasaskelmat ja apuvälineiden käyttäjälle omatoiminen polttopuiden nouto on haastavaa. Taukopaikalla ole esteetöntä puuceetä. Taukopaikalla ei ole erillistä talvikunnossapitoa, mutta taukopaikan runsas käyttö pitää taukopaikan ympäristön tampattuna ja pinta voi olla jäinen.
