Lampipolku day hiking route 6 km, Vuokatti
Lampipolku is an easy-to-walk, diverse route in the heart of Vuokatti. The route is easily accessible, close to accommodation and services, yet you can still immerse yourself fully in nature. The route partly passes through pine forest, by three ponds, and along the edge of fields. You can take a dip in the small ponds. Views also open up to Nuasjärvi lake and Vuokatti fell. In the autumn, there are lingonberries and blueberries in the heather. The Jäätiönlampi lean-to is a nice place to stop and enjoy your snacks.
At Kuikkalampi, the route also passes a good fitness stairway. In the forest sections near Jäätiönlampi, there are ancient hunting pits and tar pits that the keen-eyed may notice.
The route can be done as a circular route or one-way between Vuokatti Sports Institute and Katinkulta; the connecting path is about 3.5 km long.
