Családi programnak, mini-kirándulásnak is tökéletes helyszín a Csönge-hegyi kilátó, még a legkisebbeknek sem jelenthet akadályt a feljutás. Salföldtől pár száz méterre, egy dombtetőn áll a 2015-ben átadott kilátó, ahonnan belátjuk a Káli-medencét is.
A Csönge-hegyi kilátó kevésbé ismert a Balaton-környéki kilátók közül, pedig a Káli-medence egyik gyöngyszeme, Salföld fölött található, és a látvány is bőven megér egy látogatást. Persze ne számítsunk nagy magasságokra, a hegy lankás részén, Salföld utcáihoz nagyon közel áll a 2015-ben átadott, háromszintes kilátó.
A major bejárata előtti térről vagy a Rákóczi utca déli végéből a tanösvény T jelzését követve, néhány száz métert sétálva már el is érjük a Balaton-felvidéki Nemzeti Park által építtetett fatornyot, ahonnan rálátunk a falura és a Káli-medencére is a Hegyestű jellegzetes sziluettjéig bezárólag. Délre fordulva kibukkan a Balaton is a hegyek mögül, de pont annyira távol tőlünk, hogy ne zavarja semmi a dimbes-dombos táj nyugalmát.
Családi programnak, mini-kirándulásnak is tökéletes helyszín, még a legkisebbeknek sem jelenthet akadályt a feljutás. Salföldön a major és a pálos kolostorrom felfedezésével remek egész napos programot lehet szervezni a kilátóval együtt.
