Almost the entire stage runs within the Triglav National Park and leads from Hotel Pokljuka on Pokljuka through Goreljek over numerous alpine pastures. The path passes the Goreljek peat bog, over the alpine pasture Spodnji Goreljek, and downhill to the well-known Bohinj villages Gorjuše and Koprivnik. Along the way is also the panorama viewpoint Vodnikov razglednik, where you have a view of the entire Upper Bohinj Valley, Bohinj Lake, and the mountains above. From the church of St. Margaret in the village of Jereka, the path leads through the villages Češnjica, Srednja vas, and Studor. These are old Bohinj villages where the inhabitants today mainly engage in tourism, cheese making, and forestry. In the church of St. Martin in Srednja vas, the classical music festival takes place every summer. The stage ends in the village Stara Fužina, also known for the bed of the Mostnica stream, cheese museum, and as a starting point for the ascent of Triglav and other peaks of the Julian Alps.

    Author’s recommendation

The stage is long, but there are many opportunities for rest and refreshment along the way, as well as beautiful views of Triglav and other mountains of Bohinj and Tolmin. Take your time.

    Roadbook

The stage runs on forest paths and local roads to the viewpoint Vodnikov razglednik in Koprivnik and from there to Stara Fužina on the marked hiking trails in Bohinj.

From Hotel Pokljuka in Goreljek, the path leads right on the asphalt road through the holiday settlement. After 500 meters, turn left onto the gravel road, pass the chapel, and then turn right onto the educational trail in the Goreljek peat bog. When the path reaches a gravel road, follow the road and turn right on the road. On the asphalt road, turn left and then immediately left under the holiday homes. There, go right downhill through the forest, past isolated mountain huts onto the wide pasture, over which to the renovated Knofl mountain hut in Spodnji Goreljek. Continue left on the forest road and then turn right downhill on ridge paths to the meadows above Gorjuše. Turn right onto the local access road, go to the main road Mrzli Studenec–Jereka, turn left there, walk about 100 meters, then turn right across the pasture to Spodnje Gorjuše. Continue on the asphalt road to the Ročnjek farm, which offers lodging and hospitality services. Pass the farm and then uphill to the main road, then to the junction of a farm road to the right to the first houses in Koprivnik, then left downhill to the church in Koprivnik. At the church turn right, walk to the fire station, and from there continue to the viewpoint Vodnikov razglednik. From the viewpoint, continue right downhill on the path. The path crosses the main road Mrzli Studenec–Jereka several times. This is a steep old path that was cleared and set up years ago. This path takes you to the village of Jereka. At the church turn right uphill, then after 200 meters onto the farm road, and then right on the old path along the edge of the meadows to the village of Bohinjska Češnjica. At the intersection with the main road Jereka – Bohinj Lake turn right, go through the village, and turn left onto the cycle path leading to the small ski center Senožeta. There turn right onto the asphalt road to Srednja vas, walk through the village, and at the cheese dairy turn right uphill towards Uskovnica. After 500 meters, turn left onto the road to the village Studor, known for its typical hay barns, the holiday farm Pr' Odolnek, and the Mrcina Ranch. At the end of the village, turn right on the farm road that leads directly under the steep slope of Mount Studor toward Stara Fužina. When you reach the main road again, turn right, pass the church of St. Paul, the Mihovc Inn, and cross the bridge over Mostnica. After the bridge, turn left on the main road to the junction to the right to the TNP Bohinj center, where the stage ends.

Table so rumene. Table so rjave. Označeno je sicer čisto ok, v prej opisanih dilemah pa je zemljevid v dovoljšnjo pomoč :)

The road is open again. The electric cattle fence as mentioned in one of the reviews is still there. We just went underneath it.

Hi, the road through the small villiage Studor is currently a construction site, so the best alternative is to go from Srednja vas to the end of Studor on the main road, and then recconect to the Trail at the end of Studor villiage. The yellow line on the map is the detour option. Best regards, Matic TURIZEM BOHINJ

beautiful route, but take care of the descent after Koprovnik. I loved the track very much, but fell twice on the steep pathway after Koprovnik (the descent which crosses the asphalt road several times). Take care, this part is steep and the stones are slippery. If you have hiking poles: use these!!
