The windmill was driven by a wooden mechanism and mill stones of a mill, which for a hundred years had milled the grain on Koprivnik.

Around the 1870s, a wind mill was built by Lovro Škantar, who served as a tenant in the Austro-Hungarian army. During military service, he obviously went to the places where he saw a model of such a mill, which he later set up on Koprivnik. At the end of the service, he came to live as a subcontractor to "pri Ukcu house" - and that was the place where the mill was originally standing, in these days we can see a mill model.
