A P jelzésű turistaút meredek kaptatóval vezet fel a Fekete-fej csúcsára. A magaslat alsó szakaszán szálaló erdőket lékeit láthatjuk, felső szakaszán pedig természetes formavilágú „őserdőket” sok holtfával és cserjével. A védelmet élvező köves, sziklás hegykúpon számos értékes növényfaj él, például a nyár elején virágzó nagyezerjófű vagy a turbánliliom.
