A Királyné szoknyája nevű, vulkáni eredetű domb tetején már az 1900-as években kilátó épült. A romokra telepített (és az egykori építményt imitáló) mai kilátószerkezet 2013-ban készült, fapallós felső szintjéről viszonylag magasról csodálhatjuk a Balatont. Mivel nagyon közel vagyunk a tóhoz, többnyire tisztán látszik a túlpart. Keleti irányban a lapos tetejű Badacsony nyúlik be a partvonalba, ezért Tihany már takarásban van. Szabad szemmel, pláne távcsővel zavartalanul tanulmányozhatók a badacsonyi bazaltorgonák.
Az elfelejtett vár
Szigligetnek két vára is van. A szépen felújított nagy vár mellett itt található a Királyné szoknyáján álló, egykori óvár is, melyből napjainkra csak néhány kőtömb maradt meg. Az erősség kora vitatott, a legújabb régészeti eredmények szerint neve ellenére fiatalabb lehet, mint jól ismert testvére. Találtak ugyanakkor olyan faragott köveket is, melyek arra utalnak, hogy a római korban a Savaria hadiutat védelmező őrtorony állhatott ezen a helyen.
A lapos, bazaltsapkás dombtetőn téglalap alakú épület foglalhatott helyet, amihez egy öt- és egy négyszögletű szárny csatlakozott. A feltárás során arra jutottak, hogy valószínűleg mégsem a rómaiak építkezhettek itt, hanem a 16. században, a kikötő felügyeletére emelhették az épületet.

- Kelet felé indulva a buszmegállótól az első utcán kell balra fordulnuk (Farkasvölgyi út). Gyalogoljunk el ezen a Hegyalja út kereszteződéséig, melyen a P jelzésű turistaút is fut, aztán kövessük ezt jobb felé! Hamarosan, a parkolónál jobbra ágazik ki a kilátóhoz vezető, PL jelzésű ösvény (900 m, 53 m szintemelkedés).
- Az Óvár parkolótól a PL jelzés vezet a kilátóhoz (150 m).
Parking
- A Hegyalja úton, melyről a kilátóhoz tartó ösvény indul, az ösvény elágazásánál ingyenes parkolót találunk.
