With its numerous moats and ramparts, the fortification around the Eberau Water Castle was once the largest in Austria. Today, the castle complex resembles an enchanted garden waiting for its salvation.
The typical Angerdorf Eberau, with its impressive village square, the cultural and economic center of the lower Pinkatal, serves as a forecourt for this unique water castle complex.
The castle is not open to the public; however, there is a walking path around the castle.
During the annual castle plays by the theater association "Theater Grenzenlos" or the Pinkablues Festival in Eberau, visitors can explore the castle courtyard before the performances.
