"The Pelican over Güssing" 500 years of the Batthyány family at the castle -
The Güssing Castle stands impressively and powerfully on a long-extinct volcano, visible from afar. Originally, the castle was a fortress against invading conquerors; today, Güssing Castle has become an excellent destination for excursions. The Batthyány Castle Museum features an ancestral hall, travel packages for groups, school group packages, anniversary celebrations, and children's birthday parties with knight's feasts, special exhibitions, and music events...there is much to offer.
Especially successful are the dream wedding packages in the knight's hall, the herb garden, and the castle chapel.
A panoramic incline lift takes you comfortably and quickly to the castle high point.
