A barokk-rokokó épületet 1752-ben építették, mára Szentendre egyik jelképévé vált. Belsejét rokokó oszlopok, vörös márvány oltár díszíti. A gazdagon aranyozott ikonosztáziont Zsivkovics Mihály készítette az 1790-es években.

A törökök elől menekülő, Szentendrén letelepülő kereskedők építették a templomot 1752-ben, feltehetőleg Mayerhoffer András tervei alapján. A barokk és rokokó stíluselemeket ötvöző épület mára a város egyik jelképévé vált. Neve, a Blagovesztenszka magyarul angyali üdvözletet jelent.

Órapárkányos tornya 28 méter magas. Belsejében egy hármas osztású, fiókos dongaboltozatot láthatunk, a falakat rokokó oszlopok szegélyezik. A teljes belső magasságot kitöltő ikonosztázion, azaz az ikonfal Zsivkovics Mihály alkotása az 1790-es évekből. Állványzata festett tölgyfából készült, az ikonok pedig gazdagon aranyozott keretekben kaptak helyet. Oltára vörös márványból készült.

Directions

A HÉV és a buszok is ugyanott állnak meg, ezért bármelyikkel érkezünk elsőként a gyalogos aluljárón menjünk át a 11-es út túloldalára, majd induljunk balra a Kossuth Lajos utcán. Átkelünk a Bükkös-patak fölött, majd a Dumtsa Jenő utcán sétálunk tovább a Fő térig. Szemközt, a jobb oldalon találjuk a templomot (900 m).

Parking

Parkolni a Duna Korzó kijelölt parkolóiban lehet, illetve a patak fölött átívelő Apor-híd mindkét oldalán.
