Különleges barlang várja a kirándulókat Kishartyán határában, amit részben természetes folyamatok, részben emberi kéz mélyített a homokkőbe.
A nógrádi Kishartyán község külterületén eltéveszthetetlen homokkőfal mered a település melletti kereken 300 m magas domb déli oldalán. A nyílt kőfal nagyjából 300 m hosszú, magassága 30-40 m, anyaga az oligocén időszak tengerének partján felhalmozódott, nagy kvarctartalmú homokkő. A fal alsó részén nagyobb arányban vannak jelen a sötétebb színű, keményebb kőzetrétegek, míg magasabban világosabb, puhább rétegeket találunk. Itt látható a lakásnyi méretű Kőlyuk is, ahová a fal aljáról kőbe vájt, meredek lépcsősor vezet fel.
Kialakulás
A Kőlyuknak nevezett barlang a fal legmeredekebb részén keletkezett természetes úton, a lazább szerkezetű anyag kimosódásával. Később, az 1800-as évek végéig remeték is lakták a barlangot.
