For nearly eight centuries, the Héderváry family remained closely connected to the estate, though their ownership was not without interruption. In 1521, Ferenc Héderváry lost the property, and in 1534 Pál Bakics demolished the structure, removing its stones. Ownership later returned to János Héderváry, who rebuilt the residence in Renaissance style. Over time, Gothic and Baroque elements were added, creating the layered architectural character visible today.
Within the courtyard, these periods coexist: Gothic windows bearing the 1578 coat of arms of János Héderváry, Renaissance roundels, and ornate Baroque wrought-iron candelabra. The three-storey Baroque manor is flanked at its entrance by two sphinx statues and surrounded by an English landscape park designed by Petri Bernard. The park features exotic species such as the Chinese fern pine and the American tulip tree, along with a remarkable sycamore estimated to be 300–350 years old.
Following the land reform of 1945, the Héderváry family lost the estate. From around 1947, the building served various public purposes, including as a school and later as a creative arts residence.
