Balatonmáriafürdőn az Őrház utca végén találjuk a modernizált, felújított, nádassal ölelt szabadstrandot.
Színes térkövek vezetnek a 2023-ban felújított strand területére, a sétaút mellett pihenőpadok sorakoznak. A hatalmas, füves placcra számtalan facsemetét ültettek a néhány öreg fűz mellé, de amíg megnőnek, addig a napimádók, barnulni vágyók kedvelt helye maradhat.
Annak érdemes idejönni, aki szereti a természeti környezetet. A partot mindkét oldalon nádas övezi - a vízbe jutást egy hosszú stéggel oldották meg, a végén két lépcsővel. Itt a víz sekély, és befelé lassan mélyül, így ideális választás családoknak.
A területen található egy vizesblokk WC-vel és baba-mama szobával, mellette zuhanyzót és ivókutat, a sétány másik oldalán öltözőt is találunk. A gyerekeket egy jól felszerelt játszótér várja, a szülők addig egy árnyas pad-asztal garnitúránál pihenhetnek. A kerékpárosoknak fedett tárolóval kedveskednek. A terület szélén egy mini kiállítást nézhetünk meg színes fotókkal a Balaton élővilágáról.
A strand bejáratánál a kerékpárosokat egy felszerelt szerelőoszlop segíti a bajban, és szezonban egy büfé is üzemel.
