A Móricz Zsigmond utca végénél fekszik a szabadstrand, amely vidám, színes játszóterével és árnyékos gyepszőnyegével sok családot csábít Balatonszárszóra.
Szárszó központi részétől nem messze, a Móricz Zsigmond utca végénél fekszik a szabadstrand, amely vidám, színes játszóterével és árnyékos gyepszőnyegével sok családot csábít Balatonszárszóra.
A 2017-es szezontól jelentős változás, hogy a korábban is meglévő kisebb lidós öblöt kibővítették, így most lépcsők helyett közvetlenül be lehet sétálni a lejtős mederbe, és a gyerekek új vizes homokozót nyertek vele.
A strandon homokos focipálya és röplabda pálya is helyet kapott. A helyszínen vízibicikli és kenu kölcsönzésére is van lehetőség.

- A vonatról a Balatonszárszó állomáson szálljunk le.

Ha busszal érkezünk, a Balatonszárszó, Béketelep megállónál szálljunk le.

Directions
- A vonatállomásról a Jókai utcán forduljunk kelet, azaz Földvár felé, majd nagyjából 800 m után forduljunk balra az Örs utcán, és meg is érkeztünk a strandhoz.
- A buszmegállótól a nagy kereszteződésben induljunk el az Orgona utcán a part felé. Az utca végén forduljunk balra, majd keljünk át a síneken, ahol tábla jelzi az átjárót. Szemben lesz a strand (850 m).
Parking
- A strand előtt és a közeli utcákban lehet parkolni.
