Balatonszárszó keleti részén terül el a Bendegúz téri szabadstrand, amely árnyas fákkal szegélyezett, fűvel borított partszakasszal várja a fürdőzőket.
A szárszói strand 70 méter hosszú partján homokozó és játszótér is található. A vízbe lépcsőn juthatunk be, a part mellett vízibicikli kölcsönző is helyet kapott. Mivel közvetlenül a bicikliút mellett található, kerékpárosoknak kifejezetten ajánlott. A strand másik nagy előnye, hogy sok az árnyékos rész.

Public transport
- A vonatról a Balatonszárszó állomáson szálljunk le.
- Ha busszal érkezünk, a Balatonszárszó, Béketelep megállónál szálljunk le.

Directions
- A vonatállomásról a Jókai utcán forduljunk kelet, azaz Földvár felé, majd nagyjából másfél km után érkezünk meg a strandhoz.
- A buszmegállótól a nagy kereszteződésben induljunk el az Orgona utcán a part felé. Ahol az utca jobbra kanyarodik, hamarosan találunk egy átjárót, aminek a túlsó végén találjuk a strandot (700 m).
Parking
- Parkolni a strand előtt, illetve a közelében a Jókai utca két oldalán lehet.
