Hochschober Hut
Adventure at 2,322 meters
The Hochschoberhütte is located on the Nassfeld in the upper Leibnitz Valley. It serves as an ideal base for Tyrol’s most scenic mountain, the 3,242-meter-high Hochschober, which gives its name to the Schober Group. Large parts of the Schober Group are now located within the Hohe Tauern National Park.
The Schober Group has remained a very pristine mountain landscape, free from disruptive environmental influences such as roads and ski resorts . As a result, nearly the entire Schober Group remains reserved for mountaineers and hikers.
Hut owner Harry Lucca treats guests to delicious delicacies featuring Austrian cuisine. Home-style cooking, fresh and homemade pastries daily, as well as fine schnapps and excellent wines.
The hut is managed with a strong focus on sustainability and has been awarded the Alpine Club’s environmental seal of approval as well as the Austrian Environmental Label.
Please note:
Only go into the mountains if you’re in good health. Reserve your overnight stay. Bring a hut sleeping bag and your own towel.
