Die Hochschoberhütte steht auf dem Nassfeld im oberen Leibnitztal. Sie ist ein idealer Stützpunkt für Tirols schönsten Aussichtsberg, den 3242 m hohen Hochschober, dem Namensgeber der Schobergruppe. Weite Teile der Schobergruppe liegen heute im Nationalpark Hohe Tauern.
Diese Schobergruppe ist eine sehr ursprüngliche Berglandschaft ohne störende Umwelteinflüsse wie Straßen und Skigebiete geblieben. So bleibt fast die ganze Schobergruppe dem Bergsteiger und Bergwanderer vorbehalten.
Hüttenwirt Harry Lucca verwöhnt mit leckeren Schmankerl‘n rund um die österreichische Küche. Hausmannskost, täglich frische und hausgemachte Mehlspeisen sowie wie gute Schnapserl und exzellente Weine.
Die Hütte wird besonders nachhaltig geführt und ist mit dem Umweltgütesiegel des Alpenvereins sowie dem Österreichischen Umweltzeichen ausgezeichnet.
