Die Hütte ist Teil der Kampagne Mit Kindern auf Hütten, eine Initiative der Alpenvereine in Deutschland, Österreich und Südtirol für familienfreundliche Hütten. Sie eignet sich für Kinder ab sechs Jahren. Erlebnisbereiche für Kinder: Beobachtungen von Steinwild, Gämsen und Murmeltieren; Klettermöglichkeiten; zwei Klettersteige unterhalb der Hütte (davon einer für Kinder ab 10 Jahren) sowie Klettergärten mit leichten und schwierigeren Routen in Hüttennähe; Grillen am Lagerfeuer bei größeren Gruppen; Spielekiste
