The Glocknerhaus Alpine and Seminar Center is located at 2,132 meters above sea level in the “Elisabeth-Ruhe” area, at the foot of the Großglockner, directly on the Großglockner High Alpine Road leading to the Franz-Josephs-Höhe.
Easily accessible by bike, bus, or public transportation, this mountain hut—located in close proximity to first-class alpine and high-alpine hiking destinations—is open for business as long as the Großglockner High Alpine Road is passable.
It serves as a training and continuing education center, a seminar venue, and a base for mountaineers, hikers, and ski tourers, as well as a day-trip destination for visitors. The beautiful starry sky invites astronomy enthusiasts to enjoy nighttime stargazing.
