The Schärtenalm on the Hochkalter
Die Schärtenalm liegt in 1.359 m Höhe etwa auf halbem Weg zwischen dem Hintersee und der Blaueishütte. Von der Hütte hat man einen schönen Blick auf den Hintersee, das Gebirgsmassiv der Reiter Alm und das Ramsauer Tal. Bekannt ist die Schärtenalm auch für seine selbstgemachten Kuchen, deren Stücke so großzügig portioniert sind, dass auch hungrige Bergsteiger nach einer langen Tour satt werden.

Der seit Jahrhunderten kaum veränderte Kaser (berchtesgadenerisch für Almhütte) auf der Schärtenalm ist das Reich von Hüttenwirtin Annemarie Graßl vom Oberwegscheidlehen im Bergsteigerdorf Ramsau. Sie verwöhnt ihre Besucher mit Brotzeiten und Getränken. Auch ein Frühstück auf der Schärtenalm ist möglich, dazu müssen Sie unter der Telefon-Nummer +49 1776857275 reservieren.
Von der Schärtenalm zur Blaueishütte
Von der Schärtenalm bietet sich der Weiterweg zur Blaueishütte (1.680m Höhe, Einkehrmöglichkeit) an. Diese Hütte steht am nördlichsten Gletscher der Alpen und bietet ein beeindruckendes hochalpines Bergpanorama. Auch anspruchsvolle Besteigungen von Gipfeln im Hochkaltermassiv wie z.B. die Überschreitung des Hochkalters (2.607m) oder der anspruchsvolle Bergsteig auf die Schärtenspitze (2.153m) sind vom Blaueis möglich.
Zustiege
Zur Schärtenalm führt ein breiter, teilweise steiler aber sehr gut gehbarer Wanderweg. Es gibt zwei verschiedenene Startpunkte in Ramsau:
Von der Pfeiffenmacherbrücke im Ort Ramsau von 700 m in ca. 2,5 Std. Gehzeit.Anfahrt mit dem Auto oder mit dem RVO-Bus zum Parkplatz Pfeiffenmacherbrücke am Ortsausgang von Ramsau. Vom Hintersee, Parkplatz Seeklause am Ostufer des Hintersees (800m), ca. 1 Std. 45 Min. Gehzeit. Anfahrt mit dem Auto oder mit der RVO-Linie zum Hintersee, Haltestelle Seeklause.Opening times
