Here we’ve compiled all the important information you’ll need for your visit. Each host provides further details on amenities, how to get here, and access routes, as well as suggested tours.
Our hut is part of the “Mit Kindern auf Hütten” campaign, an initiative by the Alpine Clubs in Germany, Austria, and South Tyrol promoting family-friendly huts. It is suitable for children ages 7 to 8 and older. Our adventure areas: Climbing routes in the climbing garden (III to VI); mountain lakes

Access trail to the mountain hut
This hut approach is much less frequented than the ascents from the Ehrwalder Almbahn.
For this somewhat unusual hut approach, it is best to use a mountain bike.
Of all approaches to the Coburger Hut, the route from the Ehrwalder Alm is the shortest.
The south ascent to the Coburger Hütte requires quite good fitness compared to the other approaches.

The crossing from the Coburger to the Wolfratshauser Hütte takes us down into the valley to Biberwier and then up again via the Grubigalm.
Because the route to the Coburger Hut descends all the way to the valley to Biberwier, this hut transition requires good fitness.
