The viewing tower at Dillblick is 17 metres high with a viewing platform at a height of 14 metres.

The 10-meter high observation tower was named after the former cloth merchant Eduard Schumacher.

The wild romantic nature gorge

Between Geilnau and Laurenburg, at the lower end of the section of the River Lahn known as the ‘Cramberger Bogen’, stands an impressive natural monument: the legendary Gabelstein. The viewing platform on top of this striking rock massif offers a spectacular view of the narrow river valley and the impressive bend in the River Lahn.

Franzosenlay is one of the most beautiful vantage points in the region. From the pavilion, an impressive view opens up across the valley, the wooded slopes and the varied landscape. Seating invites visitors to pause, enjoy the view and take a relaxing break.

Nassau-Oranien Castle was built around 1120 by the Counts of Laurenburg. After the division of the Nassau land in 1255, it was the undivided property of both lines of the counts.Beginning decay at the end of the 15th century.
