    Il Cammino Francese rappresenta il classico, sicuramente da fare almeno una volta nella vita. Il cammino è abbastanza duro, ben attrezzato dal punto di vista alberghiero; é un cammino ben segnalato e dove si trovano parecchi pellegrini.

    Tappa molto dura per la distanza. Si consiglia di partire presto al mattino (soprattutto nella stagione calda). L’arrivo ad Olveiroa è emozionante, soprattutto per aver superato la distanza. La salita al monte è discretamente impegnativa.

    Beautiful hike, but as of August 2021 the way down from Monte Pindo northwards is thickly overgrown, difficult to find and not recommended (bring thick long trousers otherwise). We also did not find the path down to the road to the left of Pico de Penafiel and had to go to the dam instead, adding a good two hours without shade to the hike. I would recommend to return to O Pindo the same way you came up.
