Known for its urban beach, this coastal town has undergone significant changes due to urban development. During the 20th century, the construction of infrastructures such as a pier and a road connecting to the old port transformed the environment. In the 1980s, the extension of a breakwater altered marine currents, creating dunes on the beach. The town also preserves historical heritage, including a Gothic church and an emblematic house. In 1987, a new fish market was inaugurated, reflecting the importance of fishing in the area. At the beginning of the 21st century, modern buildings were erected, and a museum was created in 2011, housing a photographic archive of great cultural value. These transformations have marked the town's evolution, combining modernity with the preservation of its history.
