Maps and trails
Geographically, Wolfach is located at the confluence of the Kinzig and Wolf rivers and at the foot of the forested hill range of the central Black Forest. The town is known for its beautiful landscape with numerous hiking trails and cycling routes through the surrounding forests and valleys. The town itself has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages.

For visitors interested in culture, there are many sights to discover: Wolfach Castle from the 17th century now houses the town's local history museum, while the historic old town with its half-timbered houses invites visitors to stroll around. Another highlight is the 13th century town church of St. Laurentius with its impressive tower.

In terms of events, Wolfach has a lot to offer: In summer, the traditional town festival takes place, where you can enjoy regional specialities or listen to the sounds of local bands. For wine fans, a visit in autumn to the wine fair "Wolfacher Wein- & Winzerfest" is worthwhile. This region also has a lot to offer in terms of culinary delights - be sure to try the famous Black Forest ham!

Outdoor activities are possible here all year round: in winter, skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of the slopes in the nearby ski area, while in summer, hiking or cycling tours through the Black Forest are a must. Families can enjoy a visit to the Wolfach open-air swimming pool.

But what if the weather doesn't cooperate for once? Don't worry - there are plenty of activities in Wolfach even in bad weather: The indoor swimming pool with sauna ensures relaxation, while art lovers can admire contemporary works in the Galerie am Markt.

Where is it most beautiful in Wolfach? The answer is: everywhere! Whether strolling through the old town or hiking through the forest - this region has a lot to offer. However, a special highlight is the "Kinzigtalblick" vantage point, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Kinzigtal.

Summarising: Wolfach is definitely worth a visit! With its idyllic location, cultural highlights and numerous outdoor activities, this charming little town offers everything your heart desires. We hope that this travel guide will help you make your stay in Wolfach unforgettable.
