Narrow paths through shady forests, challenging climbs but also impressive panoramic views of Wolfach, Oberwolfach and Hausach...
The premium trail and Black Forest connoisseur's path leave nothing to be desired!
On one side the pulsating traffic artery through the Kinzig valley, on the other side the idyllic peace of the forests, gentle and lush meadows amid the unique setting of the Kinzig and Wolf valleys. In between dreamy and rocky paths on and along old, historic borders of the three towns Wolfach, Oberwolfach and Hausach – summit bliss at the "Spitzfelsen" including a 360-degree panoramic view.
As there are no refreshment opportunities along the route, it is recommended to pack a backpack snack and drinks!
The historic old town of Wolfach invites you to stroll, stop and enjoy at the end of the hike.
(The hiking trail is not suitable for strollers/buggies.)

Roadbook
We start the "Border-Crosser Trail" at the information board at the "Wolfen Bridge", then pass the Herlinsbach School and follow the Hansjakob Path up to the "Memorial", a monument to the fallen of the two World Wars.
Following the Hofberg Trail, we reach the next forest area and the forest kindergarten before the path leads us on narrow paths through an old oak forest to Hagenbuchkopf. The next section continues steeply uphill over a rocky path through shady birch and maple forests to the viewpoint "Kirnbachblick", where there is a great rest opportunity for a breath of fresh air.
Before the highest point of the hike at the "Spitzfelsen" is soon reached, another steadily ascending small path awaits to be mastered. Upon arrival at the "Spitzfelsen", the small plateau with summit cross offers an impressive view of the Kinzig valley up to Haslach and invites you to linger.
The path then leads down through the forest to the "White Cross". From there further towards the "Dohlenbacherhof" past pastures with cows, goats, ponies and alpacas. We cross the Hapbach valley and finally climb a short wide path steeply uphill to the "Wolfenberg". On shady and idyllic paths through the forest, we slowly approach the starting point again. Before that, however, the "Sky Swing" and a panoramic lounge with a wonderful view over meadows onto the Kinzig and the town invite you to linger and dream. Down across the meadow to the "Stuckhäusle" and back to the starting point at the "Flößerpark".
