Wildsteig is especially known for its breathtaking scenery. The town is located at the foot of the Hoher Peißenberg and is surrounded by beautiful forests, mountains and lakes. Here you will find the perfect setting for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or skiing.

One of Wildsteig's main attractions is the pilgrimage church of Maria-Hilf on the Hoher Peißenberg. This church was built as early as the 17th century and attracts thousands of pilgrims from all over the world every year.

For cultural highlights, we recommend a visit to the local history museum in Weilheim or Linderhof Castle in Ettal - an impressive example of the lavish lifestyle of Bavarian kings in the 19th century.

Wildsteig also has plenty to offer in the way of culinary delights: Be sure to try the local beer as well as regional specialities such as pork knuckle with dumplings or apple strudel with vanilla sauce.

If it rains, you can visit the "Alpamare" leisure pool or retreat to the warm and explore one of the many museums.

The best time for outdoor activities is between May and October, when the weather is mild and sunny. It is especially beautiful in autumn, when the leaves on the trees in the surrounding forests turn colourful.

Overall, Wildsteig is definitely worth a visit - an idyllic destination with a variety of activities to suit all tastes. We hope that this Travel Guide will help you with your planning and that you will have an unforgettable time in Wildsteig!

Tolle Tour.

Vgl. Meldung des Naturparks Ammergauer Alpen e.V. Pfade in schlechtem Zustand!
