Geographically, Ettlingen lies on the western edge of the Black Forest and is surrounded by rolling hills. The town itself is crossed by the river Alb, which meanders picturesquely through the centre. A special feature are the many 17th century half-timbered houses, which exude a unique charm.

Culturally, Ettlingen also has a lot to offer! One highlight is certainly Ettlingen Castle with its impressive baroque garden. The museum in the old town hall is also worth a visit - here you can learn a lot about the history of the town and its inhabitants.

For gourmets, there are also some culinary highlights to discover in Ettlingen: How about a typical Baden vesper platter or a glass of wine from the region, for example? Everyone will find something to their taste in the numerous restaurants and inns!

Those who like to be active can look forward to many outdoor activities: whether hiking in the nearby Black Forest or cycling along the banks of the Alb - everyone gets their money's worth here! Especially in spring and summer, these activities can be enjoyed particularly well.

But what do you actually do in Ettlingen when the weather is bad? Don't worry - there are plenty of options for that too: For example, you can go to the indoor swimming pool or watch a film at the cinema. The town museum is also a good option in rainy weather.

And where is the most beautiful place in Ettlingen? That's hard to say, because the city has many charming corners and places to offer: How about a walk through the castle gardens or along the Albpromenade, for example?

So all in all, Ettlingen as a destination has a lot to offer tourists - whether they are interested in culture, cuisine or sports. A visit is definitely worthwhile!

Daher besser gpx..
