If you are looking for the best sights, then you should definitely visit the Schliersee Museum, where you can learn more about the regional history. A visit to the Wendelstein summit is also an absolute must - from here you have a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains.

But this region also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Be sure to try the famous Weißbier or enjoy traditional specialities such as Schweinshaxe (knuckle of pork) or Brezn.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are numerous activities to choose from: Hiking, cycling or skiing - depending on the season, there are always suitable opportunities. In summer, the many lakes invite you to swim and go boating; in winter, the nearby Sudelfeld ski area beckons with its perfect piste conditions.

And if it should rain? Then we recommend a visit to the Tegernseer Bräustüberl - here you can sample local beers and enjoy typical Bavarian dishes in a cosy atmosphere.

Bayrischzell and Miesbach are definitely worth a visit! Come and experience for yourself what these charming towns have to offer. Our travel guide will help you make the most of every minute of your stay!

Followed this tour for a bit but then went rogue after the Wildalpjoch :) Altogether it was an amazing hike! The town is cute and the first section of the path goes along a beautiful brook and then up into the forest along a fairly steep slope. Once you get up to the Sudelfeldpass the views are fantastic the whole way through! It was pretty quiet when I went too and I only met one or two other hikers until the Lacheralm. You pass through calm pastures (with frequent cow encounters, but they all seemed very chill). Starting from the Lacheralm, the path gets more rocky and you start having to use your hands to steady yourself a bit more. The path up to the Wildalpjoch definitely has the steepest sections where I had to hold on to trees or the rocks in some parts. Still, the view is absolutely fantastic and totally worth the climb!! I left the tour and went on to the Wendelstein, which I definitely recommend if you're up for a slightly longer hike. I didn't add any photos for it, but it is a gorgeous path over, much less steep and very doable. They also have a nice Gasthof with food and drink and a cable car you can take down to avoid the steep descent. I took a more direct path down the mountain than suggested in this tour and will caution that this was extremely steep and my knees (not normally an issue) started hurting a lot by the end.

Start point available to reach with MVV Bergbus. The forest covers most of the trail, making it comfortable even on a sunny 30-degree day. But the Forstweg at the beginning was somewhat monotonous. Some paths are quite muddy and slippery, especially on the steep ones due to rain two days ago. Hiking poles would have been helpful. The view is stunning, with vibrant flowers and butterflies. The waterfall Silbach is a relaxing spot to dip while waiting for the Bergbus.

Man muss tatsächlich nirgends klettern, wer so was schreibt, hat keine Ahnung, sorry!
