Over the Sonnenköpfe

We start at the NTC Center (trail running shop) directly at the Nebelhorn cable car. To warm up, we first run flat along the Trettach to the Dummelsmoos bridge and then continue across the meadows to Rubi. Here begins the ascent to the Gaisalpe (refreshment stop). Directly behind the hut, it continues in the direction of Entschenalpe. We are now on the original route of the Allgäu Panorama Ultratrail. A steep climb leads to the summit of Sonnenkopf and we are rewarded with a great view.

Now it continues along the ridge southwards and we first reach the Heidelbeerkopf, later the Schnippenkopf. Hooray! Made it! The downhill can come...

From Falkenjoch it goes back to the Gaisalpe, burnt calories can now be replenished. The panorama on the Wallraffweg makes the runner's heart beat faster again and the finish at the Nebelhorn cable car approaches quickly.
