Stage Nusplingen – Beuron (20 kilometers):
The Jakobsweg leads from the cemetery church of St. Peter and Paul in Nusplingen down through Friedhofstraße. Before the Nepermuk bridge, turn left onto Kirchwiesenstraße and follow the signs to the last house, then turn left onto a field path and walk briefly across a meadow section. Turn left again onto a steeper climb, at the fork turn right into the forest path and continue until reaching the junction with the country road. Cross this, turn left onto the bike path, first parallel to the country road, then downhill to the right on the bike path, over the small bridge, turn left towards the Hohenberg water supply. Here the Beuron Jakobsweg meets the Heuberg pilgrim route towards Bärenthal. Then keep left and walk on a comfortable path past the Hammer waterworks and the Ensisheimer Schlösslemühle towards Bärenthal.
Follow Nusplinger Straße to the church, walk uphill through Gnadenweilerstraße, cross the Gnadenweiler-Irndorf street and continue straight along the Alte Talstaig, a deeply cut hollow way. Now through a picturesque rock landscape, past the rock gate with the Lourdes grotto and many testimonials of Christian folk piety, up to Bärenthal-Gnadenweiler. On the plateau continue straight on the paved road to the intersection.
Continue straight, then right to the houses Gnadenweiler 10-13, right again, then left follow the macadam path through the forest and across the open plateau. You reach forest again and turn right along the southern forest edge. Now gently downhill through the forest, left onto a meadow path along the forest edge, right into the forest to the Paterfelsen or Scheithäulefels. Left along the forest edge, at an intersection go straight, then right follow the lane to Irndorf. Along Drei-Kreuz-Straße into the village, right onto Johannesstraße, left onto Hauptstraße to the church of St. Petrus.
Continue along Hauptstraße, right onto Staigstraße, right again onto Unterdorfstraße, left onto Eliasberg street and over Beuron road to the chapel on Schönbühl. Now right onto the farm track steeply downhill, past the guest and conference house Maria Trost, to Beuron. Over the historic wooden bridge, past a modern pilgrim statue, we reach Beuron Monastery.
