The El Gran Bucle route, a route through the Val d'Aran and the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park!
Those who want to enjoy a unique and impressive route can connect the Setau Sageth route with the Encantats route.
The Gran Bucle (great ring) offers the option to explore both parts of the Pyrenees on their southern and northern slopes. The route is unique in Europe due to its contrasting landscapes and enormous density of mountain lakes.
The circular hiking route starting and ending in Vielha consists of 7 stages over a distance of 140 km and a total altitude difference of 12,800 m. This makes it one of the longest and with the greatest elevation difference in the Pyrenees: a true challenge for all hiking enthusiasts.
Along the entire route, there are service points for the Setau Sageth and Encantats routes, including luggage transport on each stage.

The stages of the Val d'Aran are a journey through the history of the valley, through the paths that connected the villages along the mountain slopes and which show the entire cultural and natural heritage of the valley. Then we enter the "mining area," the Toran Valley, with a large, perfectly preserved primary forest, with remains of zinc mining from the 19th century as well as the See and Liat mines. La Val de Ruda, a perfect glacial valley, through which we enter the national park and follow the path that the Frenchman Maurice Gordon already used in 1880 to explore these mountains. Founded in 1995, the national park has two protagonists: water with its more than 200 lakes, waterfalls, and rivers, and the 2,747 m high Encantats mountain full of history and mountaineering legends.
