The tour starts in the center of Arco and soon leads steadily uphill on small, partly asphalted, partly gravel serpentines. The ascent to Monte Velo is evenly paced, but constantly gains in altitude and really works the legs - ideal terrain to test your stamina. Shortly before the top of the pass, Malga Zanga is a popular stage destination with a panoramic terrace and a good opportunity to catch your breath.
From the Malga, the route continues up to Passo Due Sassi. Here you have another impressive view of the Sarca Valley and the surrounding mountains. After a short traverse, the varied, sometimes technically demanding descent through the Bosco Caproni begins - root passages, rocky sections and small trails alternate with fast gravel paths. The final section leads back into the valley and finally back to Arco via side roads and cycle paths.
