Through the Štiavnica Hills to the Tajch Modernštôlňa in Kopanice Dômky

We brought our bikes to Červená studňa by car and took the cross-country trail through the ski trail (Horný hodrušský járok) to Sedlo Pleso 775 m above sea level. Below the saddle are the Bakomi, Vindšachta and Evička tajchy, where there is a possibility of refreshment. We continued the cycle path through beautiful grassy meadows, but also stony forest roads to the village of Kopanice Dômky and swam in the fresh water of the Modernšachtianske tajchy. We returned along the same route to the turnoff to Richňava, where there are many opportunities for recreation and refreshment. We climbed the meadows to the ridge to Sedlo Pleso, below Kanderek to Farárová hórka and descended to Horná Rovna. Here you can see the old calvary and have refreshments. We continued along the blue trail to Banská Štiavnica, which is a center of cultural monuments, and after exiting the Vodárka tajch, we returned to Červená studňa. The route is quite difficult, we pushed our bikes on steep, rocky roads.
