The route initially runs through the town center and then heads toward Reichswald near the NL border, passing through agricultural land via the old station back to the starting point.
From the starting point, the route follows the footpath toward the elementary school and there crosses the bridge onto the Waschwall. From there, it continues to the right over Große Straße and Rütterswall to the playground. Here there is an opportunity for short fitness exercises. The run then continues toward Willemsestraße, which is crossed to reach Hettsteg via Fliederweg. At this junction, the route turns left onto Oliepann street, then left again onto Kreuzfurth, which later becomes Drüller Weg. From there, it goes back to the old station. The remaining part of the route goes along Bahnhofstraße, then right along Rütterswall over Große Straße and a section of Waschwall back to the starting point.
