Der Katharinenhof ist als Kunstmuseum Teil der internationalen Museumswelt. Seine überregionale Bedeutung verdankt das Museum nicht zuletzt dem aus Kranenburg stammenden Kunstsammler und Beuys-Freund Hans van der Grinten, der viele Jahre als künstlerischer Leiter im Katharinenhof tätig war.

Das weit über die Grenzen des Niederrheins hinaus bekannte Museum Katharinenhof Kranenburg bietet, mit seinen insgesamt 3 Standorten: Katharinenhof, Mühlenturm und Stadtscheune, für jeden Besucher ein interessantes Programm.

Die 3 Museen befinden sich in denkmalgeschützten Gebäuden im historischen Ortskern in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft zueinander. Gemeinsam bilden sie ein Ensemble von außerordentlicher Vielfalt.

Zahlreiche Veranstaltungen und Exkursionen runden das kulturelle Angebot um das Museum Katharinenhof ab.

Reisen Sie mit der Bahn an, so endet die NordWestBahn ca. 10 km entfernt in der Kreisstadt Kleve. Direkt am Bahnhof befindet sich der Busbahnhof. Mit der Linie 58 sowie der Linie 55 gelangen Sie nach Kranenburg.

Directions

Die Gemeinde Kranenburg liegt am unteren Niederrhein im Nordwesten von Nordrhein-Westfalen unmittelbar an der Grenze zu den Niederlanden.

Zur Anreise mit dem Auto folgen Sie der A57 bis zur Abfahrt Nummer 2 (Goch / Kleve). Unmittelbar nach der Ausfahrt biegen Sie rechts auf die B9 und dann die erste Möglichkeit links Richtung Kranenburg ab. Nach ca. 200 Metern biegen Sie rechts auf die B504 Richtung Kranenburg ab. Folgen Sie der Straße in etwa 15 Kilometer und biegen dann links in die Gemeinde Kranenburg ab.

Bei einer Anreise aus den Niederladen folgen Sie der N325 die auf deutscher Seite zur B9 wird. Folgen Sie der B9 für ca. 1 km und biegen sie dann rechts auf die K44 (Ortseinfahrt Wyler) ab. Wenn Sie der K44 weiter folgen erreichen Sie nach 5 km die Gemeinde Kranenburg.

Reisen Sie mit der Bahn an, so endet die NordWestBahn ca. 10 km entfernt in der Kreisstadt Kleve. Direkt am Bahnhof befindet sich der Busbahnhof. Mit der Linie 58 sowie der Linie 55 gelangen Sie nach Kranenburg.

In unmittelbarer Nähe finden Sie kostenlose Parkflächen begrenzt auf 2 Stunden. Folgen Sie der Beschilderung innerhalb des Ortskerns, so erreichen Sie weitere Parkflächen ganztägig kostenlos. Busparkplätze gibt es ebenfalls, hierfür halten Sie am besten Rücksprache mit dem Tourist Info Center Alter Bahnhof (Tel. 02826-7959 oder touristik@kranenburg.de)
