Take a short detour to the pretty parish church of St. Walburga. The scagliola high altar is a work by Dominikus Zimmermann, the architect of the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site Wieskirche.

Roadbook
On this route, you can follow the yellow terrain therapy trail pictogram (No. 2) on the hiking signs. The starting point is the Weißensee bathing area. Start at the shore of the Weißensee clockwise towards the parish church of St. Walburga and follow the signposted "Weißensee circular route." After about 15 minutes, you reach the quiet garden below the Weißensee parish church of St. Walburga. Here, the climate pavilion with benches invites you to linger. Further east, the path leads through a wide reed belt. At the end of the reeds, you reach the asphalt road. Turn right towards Alatsee and follow the asphalt road for a few hundred meters. Shortly after the hiking parking lot, the Weißensee circular route turns right again into the forest and follows the southern shore of the lake. From here, the path becomes a sometimes very narrow trail and requires surefootedness in some places. Soon you reach the "Törle," a narrow rock gate worthy of a few memorable snapshots. Use the various benches for short breaks and panoramic views over the lake. In some places, the natural path leads over short ascents and descents. The "Hugo Ludwig Footbridge" commemorates the sponsor of this small but important section – before its completion in 1953, a lake circumnavigation was not possible. Here is also the deepest point of the Weißensee. Continue following the circular trail along the western shore until you reach your starting point again.
There is a place to stop for refreshments at the Weißensee bathing area.
The path is consistently marked with the yellow pictogram of the terrain therapy trail No. 2 on the hiking signs.
